MATTHEW 14:6
Prepared by Dr. John E. Marshall

Introduction
This kind of wanton intermarriage among monarchs has long been a farce. King Philip III was Arch-duke Albert’s brother, cousin, nephew, and son. He was also his own uncle, his father’s cousin, his sister’s husband, and his wife’s father.

Charles Kingsley wrote: “I go at what I have to do as if there were nothing else in the world for me to do.”

The fact of death is as certain as its how, when, and where are uncertain.

On Judgment Day it will be a consolation to be able to say we knew and served Christ in this lifetime, we did not deny Him, or were ashamed of Him.

When we seek to find meaning in stuff, we become materialistic, selfish, never fully satisfied, always craving more.
